Ross's Blogs:   New York Yankees,   MLB Playoffs 2010

My name is Ross Turetsky, I'm an avid baseball fan, who is a die-hard New York Yankees fan since my days growing up in Brooklyn, NY and attending games there. I still go to New York City whenever I have the chance to see the Yankees play, including watching last season's World Series game six clincher against the Phillies at the new Yankee Stadium. I now live in Scranton, PA, you know the magical place from the T.V. show "The Office." I graduated from Scranton High School in 2004 where I was editor of our on-line newsletter "Excalibur," and I graduated with honors from Marywood University in Scranton, PA in May of 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Arts.

In college I was a featured sports writer for our school newspaper "The Wood Word," as well as discussed all sorts of sports and entertainment topics on the air as an on-air DJ for our school radio station VMFM 91.7.

I've been playing and following baseball since I was 7 years old, as I even played 4 years of varsity college baseball for the Marywood University Pacers from 2005-2008. Now I'm a volunteer assistant baseball coach for my alma mater along with my older brother Karl Turetsky, another fellow writer for Gear Up For Sports.
